Let us begin with some facts about who is Conseslus Kipruto:
Conseslus Kipruto is a well-known name amongst the runners as he has won the gold medal in 2016 (Summer Olympics), 2017, and 2019 (World Championships).
Conseslus is a middle-distance runner who runs in the 3000-meter steeplechase. He has also won the World Youth and in 2012 World Junior titles in the steeplechase. He is also the defending Olympic and World Championship titleholder.
Conseslus is just 25-years-old and amongst the 11 elite athletes of Kenya who have been granted visas for August 14 race, but due to mandatory screening at a hospital in the western city of Eldoret, he had to go under COVID-19 detection tests and unfortunately his test came positive for the Virus on Friday.

In an interview, after testing positive for coronavirus, Conseslus Kipruto has announced that he would not be competing in the next week’s season-opening Dimond League in Monaco.
He is sad for not being a part of the elite Kenyan team in this season and very disappointed for having trained so hard during the pandemic-induced period, but could not compete. However, he is more concerned about his health above than anything else.He also said that he had no symptoms and was waiting for his doctor’s advise for further course of action.
On the other hand, The Kenyan running squad is all set to travel to the Principality for the race. The squad has the women’s 3,000-meter steeplechase record-holder Beatrice Chepkoech, World 1,500-meter champion Timothy Cheruiyot and the 2 times women’s 5,000-meter champion Hellen Obiri.
By now we all have known the bad effects of deadly and infectious Coronavirus Pandemic which is not sparing any business or sport or say anything.
