Two Bodies Found in Rural Oklahoma During Investigation into Missing Kansas Mothers
In a tragic turn of events, the bodies of two missing Kansas mothers, Veronica Butler and Jillian Kelley, have been found in rural Oklahoma. The remains were discovered in Texas County and are currently undergoing examination by the Oklahoma Chief Medical Examiner to determine their identities and causes of death.
Butler and Kelley vanished on March 30 while en route to pick up Butler’s children for a birthday celebration. The two women were acquaintances, with Kelley overseeing Butler’s visits with her children, who were living with their paternal grandparent in Eva, Oklahoma.
Their disappearance was reported on the same day their blood-stained vehicle was found abandoned in rural Oklahoma. Subsequently, four individuals were arrested and charged in connection with their disappearance. The suspects, identified as Tad Bert Cullum, Tifany Machel Adams, Cole Earl Twombly, and Cora Twombly, face charges including first-degree murder, kidnapping, and conspiracy to commit murder.
Adams, the paternal grandmother of Butler’s children and Cullum’s partner, had custody of the children at the time of Butler’s disappearance. Cole and Cora Twombly, who are romantically involved, were friends with Adams on social media.
The arrests were made in Cimmaron and Texas Counties following an extensive investigation involving various law enforcement agencies. Butler was reportedly engaged in a custody battle with the children’s father and was seeking increased visitation rights before she went missing.
The community is left in shock and mourning as more details emerge in this heartbreaking case. Stay tuned for updates as the investigation progresses on Jala News.
