In a shocking revelation, Drake Bell, best known for his role in the popular Nickelodeon series “Drake & Josh,” has called out Hollywood figures for supporting convicted child molester Brian Peck, who sexually abused Bell as a teenager. Bell specifically called out Boy Meets World actors Rider Strong and Will Friedle for writing letters of support for Peck, despite knowing about the abuse.
Friedle and Strong recently addressed their relationship with Peck on a podcast, expressing regret for their past support. Other celebrities, including James Marsden, Taran Killam, and Growing Pains stars Alan Thicke and Joanna Kerns, also wrote letters of support for Peck.
Kerns later provided a follow-up statement expressing regret upon learning the truth about Peck’s actions. Bell speculated that the actors recorded a podcast episode preemptively because court documents exposing their support for Peck were about to be made public.
Representatives for Friedle, Strong, and Bell did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the matter. The documentary “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV” revealed the support from various celebrities for Peck, as well as Kerns’ regretful statement.
If you or someone you know has been a victim of sexual abuse, please reach out for help. You can text “STRENGTH” to the Crisis Text Line at 741-741 to be connected to a certified crisis counselor.
