Recently, Taylor Swift’s new album Folklore ranked at No. 1 Album on the Billboard 200 Chart. Moreover, it captured the biggest week for any music album since her last album release in 2019. However, unlike her newly released album, her Lover album was released on Aug. 23, 2019, which was announced and promoted a few months before its release.

Taylor Swift’s Folklore was released within a little notice on July 24, 2020. By the end of 30 July, the album began with 846,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States. Furthermore, it became the biggest debut week for the album, since the launch of her own album ‘Lover’ (867,000 units).
Moreover, 615,000 units were put to sales, and 289.85 million streams of the songs on the Folklore converted to 13,000 in TEA units and 218,000 in SEA units. Within a week, her new album became the top-selling album in 2020.
Apart from that, her album is also doing great in the United Kingdom. She scored 5 number one studio albums, which makes her the only female singer in the 21st century to score that number. Besides, the album also topped the Singles Chart. Her three out of sixteen songs made into the top 10. The 1 is at number 10, Bon Iver collaboration Exile at number 8, and Cardigan at number 6. Before her Folklore album, Taylor has also topped the chart with her various albums such as and Fearless (No. 1 for 11 weeks, 2008-09), 1989 (No. 1 for 11 weeks, 2014-15), Red (No. 1 for seven weeks, 2012-13), Speak Now (No. 1 for six weeks, 2010-11), Reputation (No. 1 for four weeks, 2017-18), and Lover (No. 1 for one week, Sept. 7, 2019-dated chart).
However, in the few weeks of Folklore’s debut, it had limited availability for sale. It could only be purchased via digital retailers or her official webstore. The album is speculated to release worldwide on CD on August 7, 2020. We will keep you posted on any further updates about her album.
