The Preakness 2020 results are finally out and the Swiss Skydiver (11-1) did defeat the Authentic, who had always been the race favorite at (3-2). It was only when Rachel Alexandra did it back in the year 2009 and then, again a filly has won the race this year. Robby Alvarado has made a gutsy cut while the Swiss Skydiver took the lead after the half-mile mark. Certainly, Swiss Skydiver beat the boys in the race with her exceptional performance and it was a thrill to see her riding so sportingly. It was really stunning and all the Congrats to her!

The trainer, Kenny KC Peek won this at the Preakness for the first time, and certainly this stands to be the second Triple Crown win that he did achieve in all his career. Mc Peek said after this race, “Just a real honor to be around a horse like this,” and he also added saying, “It’s a special moment.” Swiss Skydiver stands as the sixth filly to win the Preakness. She joined Flocarline of 1903, Whimsical of 1906, Rhine Maiden of 1915, and Nellie Morse of 1924, and last but not the least, Rachel Alexandra. Preakness 2020 affected by the Corona virus pandemic
The Preakness Stakes finally came to an official ending with one of the strangest Triple Crown years. However, this Covid 19 pandemic did shut down the sports which would temporarily be back by the month of March. Well, the races would probably shuffle to different dates and order. The Belmont Stakes, the final race of the Triple Crown will kick off Tiz the Law thereby positioning it to the victory in the first race. The Triple Crown bid with Authentic taking away the win at the Churchill Downs was spoiler by the Kentucky Derby. Definitely, the Covid 19 pandemic messed up with the Triple Crown’s schedule this year and thus, the Preakness 2020 was finally held after 20 weeks post the original date that was at first, listed to be 16th of May, 2020 which was on Saturday. Even the festivals that used to be associated with the race was called off.
