The new RTX 30 series of graphics cards are revealed by Nvidia yesterday. The 3 new models revealed yesterday are— RTX 3090 RTX 3080, and RTX 3070. All these 3 cards are supposed to enhance the rasterized and ray-pathed 3D rendering on the basis of the latest Ampere architecture. The RTX 3090 is a flagship new card in this line-up, that takes over the Titan RTX mantle. The RTX 3090 promises 50 percent better performance than the Titan RTX and also claims to support and render the 8K video quality with “numerous top games” and that too at 60 Frames Rate Per Second.
RTX 3090 Price & Specifications
The 24GB GDDR6X memory of the RTX 3090, provides the same power as the Titan RTX, but the RTX 3090 is much faster in terms of performance. The RTX 3090 is priced at $1499 in the US which is around Rs.1,52,000 in India. This is far more pricey than the original cost of the RTX 2080 Ti graphics card that costs around $1299. It does indeed have a new threefold slot configuration with double axial fans that ensures that it is 10 times quieter and 30 degrees cooler than the Titan RTX graphics card. It is however less costly than the launch price of Titan RTX which is around $2499. This card will go on sale from 24 September.
RTX 3080 Price & Specifications
RTX 3080 is another graphic card that was launched with the RTX 3090 and this card is basically best for most users, as it is a logical flagship card for everyone. With this model, the RTX 2080 (standard version, not super) Nvidia promises up to 2 times the performance. It has 10GB of the newly upgraded 19Gbps GDDR6X memory and Nvidia claims that this card will reliably handle 4K 60fps. The price of the RTX 3080 is around $699 which is the same as that of the RTX 2080 and in India, you can get it for Rs.71,000. RTX 3080 will be available to buy from 17 September.
RTX 3070 Price & Specifications
Last but not least is the RTX 3070 graphics card which is the cheapest one among all three cards that were launched yesterday. Nvidia says that the RTX 3070, is quite a bold assertion, and it is faster than the RTX 2080 Ti. On average, the RTX 3070 is also 60% better than that of the RTX 2070 graphics card. This card will come with an 8GB of GDDR6 graphics memory and Nvidia claims that this card is ideal for playing games with 4K and 1440p display output, which is a fair argument to be made according to what we knew about 2080 Ti. The RTX 3070 will cost around $499 or Rs.51,00 in India and it will be available from October.
Nvidia is launching numerous enhancements and few other additional key functions for the latest RTX 30 series and Ampere. The CUDA cores forming the bulk of processing of hardware on these new GPUs claims to produce 2 times the FP32 over Turing and 30 TFLOPS-shader processing capabilities. With 58 RT-TFLOPs of power, the latest RT Core second-generation delivers 2x the Turing throughput, shadings, and computations. Lastly, the Tensor Cores of the third generation now have a 2 times better Turing throughput and processing power with 238 Tensor-TFLOPs.
