Professional Golfer’s Association of America (PGA Championship) has held t’s 102nd edition from 6th August to 9th August. Initially, it was scheduled between 14th May to 17th May, but due to a pandemic situation worldwide, it has been delayed since. There were a total of 156 players who were playing on the ground without any crowd during the Championship.
As all the sports have been started almost after a long gap of 4 months, it was a long-awaited moment to see the amazing sport: Golf.
And to make it more memorable and surprising: Collin Morikawa has taken his stunning shot on last Sunday and was able to claim the title of PGA Championship.
The sport took place at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco. And to let you know more about this newcomer, Collin Morikawa has turned into Professional golfer just last year and in PGA Championship it was his 2nd appearance. With Wanamaker Trophy at the end of Final round, Morikawa has become the third-youngest winner of the PGA championship.
After the game has turned into single stroke play event the 1st youngest winner was Jack Nicklaus in 1963 and Rory Mcllroy in 2012 who participated this year as well, But Morikawa has won the Championship and along with many hearts this year.
Morikawa’s shot in the page of PGA championship will be always remembered because he did such a shot which drove his ball the tee to seven feet from the hole at the 294 yards per four 16th. His game was a tie with Paul Casey and his next brilliant shot made him cut the tie.
On Sunday, the day had begun with 11 players which ended with Collin as the winner, 2 shots ahead of the runner-up Paul Casey and Dustin Johnson. On the esteemed leader board, Collin being the youngest player had itched his name in golden words as the youngest and one of the quickest wins anybody could have made till date. He was able to leave his mark in the last shot astonishingly.
