Apple M1: Released in Apple Event
The Apple event announcements started with the launch of Apple M1 wherein Apple claims that this particular model has got the most powerful chip that Apple has ever created so far! It further reveals that the chip is the first ever designed chip that Apple has created especially for Mac. It features a unified memory architecture that is well known for improved performance and efficiency. It is typically based on a 5 mm architecture and thus, it comprises 16 billion transistors.
It features the fastest CPU core in low-power silicon. It also features the best CPU performance in the world per watt, and it also offers the machine learning performance with the Apple Neural Engine. M1 also delivers 3.5x faster CPU performance, and also up to 6x faster GPU performance. It further offers up to 15x faster machine learning, all of which are meant to enable up to 2x longer battery life.
MacBook Air: First Mac powered by the M1 chip
MacBook Air is meant to deal in intensive tasks that include editing family photos to that of exporting videos from the web. It comes with a 8 core CPU that is 3.5x faster than the previous generation MacBooks. Also, it features a 8 core GPU that is 5x faster. It offers up to 15 hours of wireless web browsing and 18 hours of video playback which resembles the longest battery life so far!
This new M1-powered MacBook Air is available at Rs 92,900 in India for the 256 GB variant which features the 7-core GPU. On the other hand, it starts at $999 (roughly Rs 74,200) in the US. The 8-core GPU MacBook Air with M1 chip price is available at Rs 1,17,900 in India and it comes with 512 GB SSD.
Mac Mini: Complex 3D rendering released on Apple event
Mac Mini features 8 core CPU which is 3x faster performance and 8 core GPU that offers 6x performance. The 8 GB / 256 GB variant is available in India at a price of ₹ 64,900 whereas the 8 GB/ 512 GB model is available at Rs 84,900.
MacBook Pro: Longest battery life ever from the Apple event
The 13.3-inch MacBook Pro is powered by the new Apple M1 silicon. It replaces the older models with Intel x86 chips and has the longest battery life that any MacBook has ever got! MacBook Pro price for the 8-core GPU variant with 256 GB SSD starts at Rs 1,22,900 in India. The 512 GB SSD model is available at a price of Rs 1,42,900 in India.
